About Nettle Lane · New Castle, IN

Not a motivational speaker with a slide deck — a coach who stays in the room with you.

Nettle Lane is a deliberately small executive coaching practice in New Castle. We don't sell inspiration by the hour. We build structured engagements — anchored in real feedback, priced up front, and run by the same person from your first call to your last. Here's how we got here, and how we work.

Where this started

Built from the seats where the hard calls actually get made

Nettle Lane didn't start in a classroom. It started after years spent in operating seats — running teams, missing targets, owning turnarounds, and learning the difference between advice that sounds smart and advice that survives contact with a real Monday.

Somewhere along the way one thing became obvious: most leadership development is a fire hose of frameworks aimed at people who already know the frameworks. What managers actually need is a structured, private space to change one hard habit at a time — with evidence on the table and someone holding them to it.

So that's what we built. No retreats-in-the-woods theatre, no thousand-page workbooks. Just focused engagements, measured against a 360° baseline, that move the calls only you can make.

What we hold to

Four commitments that shape every engagement

These aren't wall posters. They're the rules we actually run the practice by — and the reason clients come back for a second arc.

  • 01

    Evidence beats opinion

Every full engagement opens with a 360° baseline. We coach against what the people around you actually experience — not against a hunch. When you finish, you can point to what moved.

  • 02

    One coach, no handoffs

You won't be sold by a senior name and delivered by a junior one. The person on your chemistry call is the person in every session and the person who writes your close-out plan. Continuity is the point.

  • 03

    The price is the price

Programs are one fixed fee, invoiced up front — ACH or card. No hourly meter, no surprise line items, no "let's extend" pressure. You decide the scope; the number doesn't drift.

  • 04

    The room stays the room

What's said in session stays in session. If a sponsor is paying, they see progress against agreed goals — never transcripts. You control exactly what leaves the room.

A practice sized on purpose, not scale

We keep the roster small so no engagement ever runs on autopilot. Here's the rhythm you can expect.

60 min Each coaching session — fortnightly, plus about 30 minutes of fieldwork between them.
6 months A full arc, from 360° baseline through a written 90-day close-out plan.
Wed–Sun When we coach — early mornings and Fridays wide open around your calendar.

Who you'll actually work with

The same voice, first call to last

You'll work with a coach who has sat in operating seats — carried a P&L, led through a bad quarter, made the unpopular call. That means we can be direct with you, because we've been where you are.

No account managers, no rotating team. You get one person who learns your context deeply and stays with it — which is exactly why the work holds after we finish.
